Mr. Doug George
Doug George is currently Director of the Intellectual Property, Information and Technology Trade Policy Division at Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, and is Canada's Negotiator for ACTA and for Intellectual Property with the WTO. He is also the Chair of the federal government’s Interdepartmental Working Group on IPR Enforcement.
Recent postings include Brussels where he was Head of the Trade and Economic Policy Sector of the Canadian Mission to the European Union; in Geneva, where he was a negotiator in the Uruguay Round; and in Jamaica in the Political and Economic Section. In Ottawa, he has served as Director the Softwood Lumber Division, Senior Departmental Assistant to the Minister for International Trade and in the U.S. Trade and Economic Policy Division, among others.
