William Patry

Mr. William Patry was formerly copyright counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives; a Policy Planning Advisor to the Register of Copyrights, U.S. Copyright Office; a full-time law professor; and in the private practice of law for 12 year. He is the author of a 7 volume treatise on copyright, a treatise on the fair use doctrine, and three previous treatises.
In 2009 he published "Moral Panics and the Copyright Wars" (Oxford University Press); his next book "How to Fix Copyright" will be published early next summer, also by Oxford. He has published many law review articles, including one with Judge Richard Posner.
