PCT Working Group
Purpose of Group
At its 36th session, the PCT Assembly established a Working Group to do preparatory work for matters which require submission to the Assembly. Most commonly, this involves proposals for amendment of the Regulations under the PCT, but may include a wide variety of matters of interest to the PCT Assembly.
Consultation on Proposed Amendments of the Regulations under the PCT
The PCT Working Group, at its sixth session held from May 21 to 24, 2013, agreed on a number of proposed amendments of the Regulations under the PCT with a view to their submission to the 44th session of the PCT Assembly, to be held in September/October 2013 (see the Summary by the Chair of the session, document PCT/WG/6/23). The Working Group also agreed that a number of matters should be the subject of further consultation through the electronic forum of the Working Group.
This link contains revised proposals by the Secretariat on these further matters. In particular, the proposals contain a modification to Rule 66.1ter as set out in Annex I to document PCT/WG/6/23 to take into account informal comments received by the International Bureau since the sixth session of the Working Group. Comments on the proposals are invited by June 12, 2013 (preferably submitted to pctbdd@wipo.int). Following this consultation, the document for the Assembly containing proposed amendments of the Regulations under the PCT will be finalized.
