The AUTM Annual Meeting is the largest gathering of global technology and licensing professionals representing leading research universities and institutions. Attendance is approximately 2,000 persons. In recent years, WIPO’s views in areas germane to technology licensing have been conveyed through various forms of WIPO representation, including by the Director General in Anaheim in 2012 where he was a keynote speaker.
WIPO (through the PCT Legal Division) sponsored the AUTM Annual Meeting International Attendee reception since 2011. While that event has been discontinued by AUTM since the 2017 Annual Meeting, the PCT instead sponsored the New Attendee Reception and AUTM’s outreach efforts to potential members and participations from developing countries. In its turn, the Center would in such case pay the costs of the Exhibition space, which are limited following earlier arrangements.
It is proposed that Mr. Bryan and Mr. Rattray participate in this meeting.
