In 2022, WIPO completed a data validation and verification project for Eswatini Registrar General’s Office in cooperation with the Office and with support from the Funds-In-Trust Japan Industrial Property Global (FIT/Japan IP Global).
The objectives of this project were: to enhance the IP Office’s capability in delivering professional service; to enhance system usage for back-office activities; to improve quality of service in a cost-effective manner; and to improve IP process governance, transparency, and accountability.
44,023 files of trademarks, patents, and industrial designs were collected and verified (and captured when necessary) in this project.
