WIPO has received an invitation from the World Trade Organization (WTO) to participate in a WTO Regional Workshop on Trade and Public Health for Latin American Countries. The WTO has indicated that the activity will be similar to the Geneva-based Workshop on Trade and Public Health that the WTO carries out on an annual basis in close cooperation with WIPO and the World Health Organization (WHO).
Mutual participation of both WTO and WIPO is a key aspect of the cooperation between the two organization under the WIPO-WTO Cooperation Agreement (1995). |
