Title: Follow-up to the Training and Advisory Program on Intellectual Property Rights in the Global Economy for the Least Developed Countries (LDCs)
Description: Within the framework of the program of technical cooperation between WIPO and the Swedish Patent and Registration Office (PRV), WIPO organized, in cooperation with PRV and with the assistance of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), a Training and Advisory Program on Intellectual Property Rights in the Global Economy for the Least Developed Countries, in Stockholm, from November 22 to December 11, 2015.
A copy of the approved memorandum for the above mentioned Training Program is attached for ease of reference.
Following consultations with the Government of Rwanda and PRV, it is proposed to organize the follow-up to the Training Program in Kigali, Rwanda, from June 19 to 24, 2016. The letter confirming the commitment of the Government of Rwanda to host the follow-up meeting of the Training Program is attached.
The main purpose of the Follow-up Training Program is to share relevant experiences among the participants on the progress of individual country projects identified during the Training Program in Stockholm, in November-December 2015, and to formulate action plans for the future.
The provisional program, the cost estimate (Budget Program LDCs 0035-P3031) and the list of participants are attached.
With the exception of the cost related to participants from WIPO and expenses for reception and other minor miscellaneous expenses, as necessary, the entire program is financed by Sida.
