Description: |
The primary objective of this workshop is to analyze patent policies that may have an impact on health related policies, namely, patents as rewards to inventors in the pharmaceutical field: patentability of pharmaceutical products; measures to promote access to medicines, i.e.: compulsory licenses, exhaustion of rights and the protection of test data.
It will serve as an opportunity to provide an analysis of the multilateral legal framework on patents through several presentations, with particular attention to flexibilities available and clarify the impact of bilateral and regional trade agreements on the patent legal framework. The common reflection and interchange of experiences will undoubtedly enrich the on-going process for the revision of the GCC legal framework. |
