Description: |
During the 2012 General Assemblies, The IP Offices of Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados and Grenada requested assistance to build capacity and raise awareness on IP rights with activities directed at law enforcement officials, policy makers and other stakeholders incl. youth.
In each country one-day workshop will be conducted to build the IP capacity of law enforcement agencies. Specific assistance was requested on risk assessment and targeting, as infringing goods are imported into the respective countries. High-level roundtable discussions with policy makers from the Ministries of Legal Affairs, Education, Trade, Finance and the Interior will follow. A round of discussions will also take place with the private sector, other stakeholders and youth. Ministerial approval to conduct the events has been obtained and relevant stakeholders have been approached. |
