Patents and Technology Sector

Deputy Director General Lisa Jorgenson (United States of America) administers the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) and the Organization’s programs relating to the law of patents, as well as their full practical application. DDG Jorgenson also acts as the Organization’s first IP and Gender champion to facilitate WIPO’s Women and IP Strategic Plan. Additionally, she is also responsible for managing the language and translation requirements of the Organization.
