PROSUL Directing Committee Meets

The Brazilian Institute of Intellectual Property (INPI) hosted a meeting of the Project Steering Committee for the Consolidation of Cooperation between Industrial Property Offices in South America (Prosul II) on May 5 and 6 in Rio de Janeiro. The project deals with industrial property (IP) cooperation in South America, with a focus on improving services and user support.
Common ground
Representatives of countries belonging to the Cooperation System on Operational Information Aspects and Industrial Property (PROSUL) presented their IP-related experiences /challenges and realized that South American IP offices face many common difficulties. They also attended a meeting of the PROSUL Committee with the Brazilian private sector to exchange experiences.
Besides Brazil, seven other countries are part of the project: Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
