WBO visits Museum of Life at Oswaldo Cruz Foundation
September 9, 2016
On June 17, a WIPO Brazil Office (WBO) representative visited the Museum of Life (Fiocruz). Through permanent exhibitions, interactive activities, multimedia, and laboratories this Museum aims to inform and educate on the topics of science, health and technology in a fun and creative way. Collaborating with the Museum, the WBO will distribute promotional and informative material on intellectual property (IP).
The museum is linked to the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation and its central themes are life as an object of knowledge, health as quality of life and man's effect on life.
This visit is a follow up to the World Intellectual Property Day celebration which took place on April 26. WBO will work with the Museum to distribute brochures about IP and WIPO to visitors in relevant museum spaces.
In addition, WBO and the Museum may work in partnership with the Brazil IP Office (INPI) to offer lectures for graduate students and fellows in the course of cultural production. WBO is also planning to organize a workshop for staff on the management of IP in Museums.
