WIPO Regional Director Brazil Gives Lecture at University of São Paulo

On October 20, Mr. Graça Aranha gave a guest lecture to international relations students at the University of São Paulo (USP). The WIPO Brazil Office (WBO) gave an overview of WIPO and explained its role in the context of the SDGs.
The audience consisted of 40 students from the International Relations degree program and the lecture took place during the course “Themes and Practices of International Relations”. The chosen theme for the current semester is “Multilateral Institutions and International Relations”, focusing on the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 2030 project.
Other representatives from the below UN agencies and NGOs were also invited to share their own SDG-related work:
- International Labor Organization (ILO)
- World Health Organization (WHO)
- United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)
- International Telecommunication Union (ITU)
- United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
- International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)
