Second Annual Meeting of ANPEI IP Committee

On March 27, over 65 representatives from the private sector, academia and government institutions met at the headquarters of the law firm Kazsnar Leonardos in Rio for the second annual meeting of the IP committee of the National Association of Research and Development of Innovative Enterprises (ANPEI).

Mr. José Graça Aranha, Regional Director of WBO, delivered a lecture on the advantages of the Madrid Protocol. Other topics covered included:

  • the Japanese experience in outsourcing patent examinations,
  • ambush marketing, and
  • projects by the national institute of Industrial Property (INPI) on Patent Prosecution Highways and on the restructuring of regional offices.
