Norwegian-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce Hosts Event on IP for Business

The Regional Director of the WIPO Brazil Office delivered a lecture on international agreements in the fields of trademarks and patents during an event organized by the Norwegian Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, on April 5, 2018, in Rio.

The event attracted around 50 representatives from the private sector and focused on promoting awareness among entrepreneurs on national specificities concerning the protection of intellectual property. 

The other speakers were patent agents and one representative from industry and the topics they covered were:

  • Patents and industrial designs in Brazil:  economic tools and exclusion of free competition
  • The deposit of trademarks in Brazil 
  • Experiences of industrial property in Brazil
