Staff from the WBO will be available at the WIPO stand, located in the lobby of the Windsor Barra Hotel, throughout the Congress. They will be happy to provide information on our products and services as well as to discuss the possibility of developing cooperation initiatives.

About the International Congress

Around 1,000 participants, from Brazil and abroad, are expected to attend the event, including industry experts, magistrates, consultants, lawyers, government officials, and leaders of international entities such as the Chinese Trademark Association (CTA), and the Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle (AIPPI). There will also be representatives from private research centers and from companies such as Bayer, Natura, and Embraer.

In addition to debates touching on trademarks, patents and copyright, the Congress will tackle overarching topics of the digital era, such as artificial intelligence and the gaming industry. A specific panel will discuss, from the point of view of the market, research for the medicinal use of cannabis and its regulation.

The Congress will also feature sessions and plenary sessions with debates on patents in the areas of biotechnology, industrial designs and the new Law on the Protection of Personal Data.
