The 15th edition of WIPO’s Global Innovation Index (GII) will be released on Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 13:30 to 16:15 p.m. (Geneva time) during a hybrid event featuring ministers, business leaders and innovation experts. The event will include a presentation of key findings of the GII 2022 and two panel discussions.
The GII 2022 tracks global innovation trends against the background of an ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, slowing productivity growth and other ongoing challenges.
Join the launch to discover this year’s most innovative economies in the world. The GII ranks the innovation performance of 132 economies, highlighting their innovation strengths and weaknesses.
This 2022 edition of the GII focuses on the effect of innovation on productivity and wellbeing of society over the coming decades.
The report addresses the following question: Is stagnation and low productivity growth here to stay, or are we about to enter a new era, where new innovation spurts – the Digital Age and the Deep Science Innovation waves – bring about an economic uplift?
The hybrid launch event will take place in the WIPO Conference Hall at WIPO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. For in-person participation, please register.
