WIPO has highly appreciated China's efforts in enhancing IP protection and enforcement, especially the active participation in global IP governance under the framework of WIPO. WIPO looks forward to stepping up cooperation with China, ASEAN countries and other Member States to create an enabling environment that fosters sustainable respect for IP and bolsters the capacity to effectively enforce IP.

Ms. Gan noted that the Chinese government has long adhered to the path of IP protection and development with Chinese characteristics. Through the establishment of a comprehensive and interconnected IP protection system, China has effectively curbed the growth of infringement and counterfeiting. Significant achievements have been made through fruitful collaboration with ASEAN countries in combating infringement and counterfeiting as well as safeguarding IP. The Chinese government will continue to work with WIPO and ASEAN countries to strengthen the exchange of experience, information sharing, joint enforcement and other aspects of cooperation in the field of IP, and to make continuous contributions to the deepening of global IP governance.

Mr. Miao stressed that combating infringement and counterfeiting is of utmost importance for maintaining market order and safeguarding public safety. Guangxi has consistently prioritized efforts to combat infringement and counterfeiting and carried out special actions with significant results. As the main window of cooperation between China and ASEAN, Guangxi will continue to serve as a bridge, deepening the foreign cooperation and exchange in the field of IP and jointly combating infringement and counterfeiting.
