English Seminar on Intellectual Property 2015

On August 24, Mr. Okamoto, a Counsellor at the WIPO Japan Office (WJO), gave a lecture on WIPO’s efforts to 22 students from different countries such as China, Japan, Mexico, the Republic of Korea, and Thailand at the English Seminar of Intellectual Property 2015, organized by the Japan Association of Universities for Intellectual Property Education and Research.

After the lecture, Mr. Okamoto, Mr. Jonah Asher, Associate Research Officer at the WJO, and Ms. Momoko Iwahashi, Administrative Assistant at the WJO, promoted the  IP Advantage database, which is a compilation of successful case studies on the utilization of intellectual property from around the world, by conducting a workshop utilizing case studies from the database.
