Information Session on TISCs

To support easy access to locally based, high quality technology information and enhance innovation through knowledge and expertise in Nigeria, WIPO Nigeria Office and the Technology and Innovation Support Division, in cooperation with the Nigerian Trademarks Registry, Patents and Designs Registry as well as the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP) has organized a Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISCs) Information Session.

The TISCs Information Session is targeted at the relevant officers within national industrial property offices, universities and academic institutions, research and development centers, innovation hubs, associations of chambers of commerce and is open to the public. The session will provide an overview of the TISCs as well as an overview of methods for developing institutional capacities to deliver TISC services. Importantly,  some of the existing TISCs in Nigeria will share their experiences.

The overall goal is to achieve an expansion of the TISCs network in Nigeria for efficiency in information transfer for innovation. Consequently, the information session will be followed by a subsequent training which will be organized for the operationalization of intending TISCs in the country.
