Leading professionals in the field of IP, including WIPO officials, business leaders and academic experts, will facilitate the two weeks of intensive learning. The WIPO-Nigeria Summer School will also prioritize the participants’ practical exposure and engagement with the concepts through simulation exercises, and group discussions on selected IP topics.

In a statement issued by Dr. Rislan Abdulazeez Kanya, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (IT, Research and Innovation) of the Institution:

“we are excited to have the opportunity to host this very important summer school and are looking forward to nourishing the minds of the participants with a deeper knowledge of intellectual property (IP) as well as the overall role and functions of WIPO. We also hope that this summer school will ignite the process of further disseminating the intellectual outcomes of the participants’ experiences, towards a deepening of IP knowledge in Nigeria through step-down workshops.”

Further information on the WIPO-Nigeria Summer School, including application and registration timelines is available.
