Scientific and Practical Conference: XXI century – Youthfulness of Intelligence

The fifth International Scientific and Practical Conference: "XXI century – Youthfulness of Intelligence" was held at Moscow's Federation Council on May 20, 2019. During the Conference, essential issues surrounding the development of intellectual property (IP) management systems and IP policies for universities and research institutions in the Russian Federation were discussed. Leading experts in the field of IP provided their comments and proposed solutions for IP challenges.
The event was opened by Senator, Ms. Liliya Gumerova – Deputy Chair, Committee on Science, Education and Culture – who underlined that every university should not only educate, but also provide training for the scientific and technological development of the Russian Federation.
Mr. Grigory Trubnikov – First Deputy Minister, Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russia Federation – provided details of the special state project «Наука» (“Science”).
Mr. Michal Svantner, – Director, Department for Transition and Developed Countries, WIPO – defined future steps of the Phase II of the National Project on IP Policy Policies for Universities and Research Institutions in Russia.
WIPO medal for inventors
During the Conference, Mr. Denis Letavin – Engineer, Department of Radioelectronics and Telecommunications, Ural Federal University – received the WIPO Medal for Inventors, following his nomination by Russian authorities.
