Sub-Regional Seminar IP Teaching With Focus on IP Management System in Universities: From Idea to Commercialization

On June 20 and 21, 2019 the second Sub-Regional Seminar on IP Teaching With Focus on IP Management System in Universities: From Idea to Commercialization took place in Moscow. The event was attended by representatives of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and eastern European universities and scientific and research institutions who took part in discussions and interactive sessions during the two day Seminar.
WIPO was represented by Mr. Michal Svantner — Director, Department for Transition and Developed Countries — who provided details of the “National Project on IP Policy for Universities and Research Institutions in the Russian Federation”.
Mr. Saidahmad Azimov — Program Manager of WIPO’s, Department for Transition and Developed Countries — discussed the topic of institutional intellectual property (IP) policies and commercialization.
On the second day of the Seminar, all speakers participated in a round table on “Human Resources in the Digital Environment of IP”.
The Seminar was organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in cooperation with the Russian Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) and the Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property (RGAIS).
All participants of the Seminar received WIPO certificates.
