National Seminar Intellectual Property Policy FOR Universities and Research Institutions in Belgorod

On October 24 to 25, the National Seminar IP Policy for Universities and Research Institutes was held in Belgorod.

World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) representatives made presentations to specialists and employees of universities and research institutions in the region at the Belgorod State National Research University (BSU) on the following topics:

  • WIPO Global Services and Capacity Building Programs;
  • IP Policy as One of the Elements of an Eco-system of Knowledge Transfer;
  • National Project on Implementation of the National Model of Intellectual Property Institutional Policies for Universities and Research Institutions in the Russian Federation.

WIPO experts also took part in a panel discussion on the current situation regarding IP regulations in universities and research institutions in the region.

All participants of the event received practical information and recommendations regarding the said topics.

The seminar was organized by WIPO in cooperation with the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent).
