2020: Your Favorite WIPO Webinars in Russian this Year
December 23, 2020
Thank you all for your participation and interest in WIPO webinars in 2020. During this year we’ve held 34 webinars on different topics, including the PCT, Madrid, Hague, Lisbon Systems, WIPO PROOF, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Geographical Indications, Public Private Partnership, Artificial Intelligence, etc.
We hope that the knowledge, acquired during these webinars, has helped you to understand the concept of “intellectual property” and to become familiar with WIPO’s services.
We were pleased to receive positive feedback and comments from you! In 2021, we will prepare even more webinars based on your interests and requests.
We invite you to recall with us the most popular WIPO webinars in Russian in the outgoing year:
1) Filling an international application under the Madrid System
No surprise here because during the year we received many questions related to the international registration of trademarks and their protection within the framework of the System.
2) Presentation of WIPO PROOF
Just six months ago, WIPO launched a new online service tailored to the digital evolution of today's society. During this time, Russia entered the top-5 countries in terms of the number of users of this service.
3) PCT System: International Search. Supplementary International Search. International Preliminary Examination
During this webinar, you learned more about the selection of a competent International Searching Authority, the requirement of unity of invention, the search report and other useful information.
4) Introduction to the Hague System
We are very happy for your interest in this topic considering that Russia joined this System only in 2018. In this webinar, you learned about the concept of an "industrial design" and the main benefits of using the Hague System.
5) Geographical Indications: Overview and International Legal Framework
A geographical indication right enables those who have the right to use the indication to prevent its use by a third party whose product does not conform to the applicable standards. A registered appellation will be protected against usurpation or imitation. We were pleased to see your interest in this topic as well.
See you in 2021!
We hope to see you among the participants in our webinars next year.
