Helping to Build Stronger Businesses in Cambodia

September 23, 2021

Growing Your Business with Intellectual Property was the title of a successful webinar the WIPO Singapore Office co-organized with our good friends at the IP Association of Cambodia and the Department of IP, Ministry of Commerce in Cambodia.

It was successful due to many factors: the significant volume of questions the 200+ strong audience of Cambodian SMEs posed; the passion of every speaker; and the breadth and depth of topics covered in the time available.

The webinar highlighted that the Cambodian business community has significant interest in using both the domestic and international IP systems to a greater degree. From the questions and comments, it was clear that they want to identify their intangible assets and strategically use the domestic and international IP systems to maximize the value of these business assets. This realization is crucial to business growth and economic robustness in the country.

This significant progress is due in no small way to the substantial efforts of the IP Association of Cambodia and the Ministry of Commerce (as well as the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation). The WIPO Singapore Office is proud to be part of this journey with the Cambodian business community.
