The UN RC is the highest ranking representative of the United Nations development system at the country level, with the responsibility to lead United Nations country teams, and ensure system-wide accountability on the ground for the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.

The RC system aims to bring together the different UN agencies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operational activities at the country level.

Ms. El Korri was accompanied on her mission by Dr. Richard Marshall, Senior Economist, Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator.

In the discussion, WSO Officer-in-charge, Mr. Peter Willimott, explained the role of the Office and its focus to help SMEs, women and youths in ASEAN Member States to use the IP system. He also highlighted the WSO’s collaborative approach with governments and NGOs in the region.
