WIPO Chile Summer School on IP Concludes
April 17, 2018
The WIPO Brazil Office (WBO) assisted the WIPO Academy in the organization of the fifth edition of the WIPO-Chile Summer School on IP, held from March 5 to 16, 2018 in Santiago.
WIPO and the Chilean Instituto Nacional de Propiedad Industrial (INAPI) organized the event, which attracted 34 participants from Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru. The WBO collaborated by sending a member of staff to deliver an opening speech and a lecture on WIPO’s mandate and main activities.
What are WIPO Summer Schools?
WIPO Summer Schools are designed for senior students, junior professionals and government officials. The program covers the main topics on IP in a multidisciplinary way.
Participants have to complete the WIPO Academy DL101 General Course on IP before beginning the face to face training portion. By doing so, they arrive in the classroom with a more or less equal base of knowledge on the subjects which will be covered and the training can then take on a more problem-oriented and interactive approach.
