Agentes de PI brasileiros deveriam focar no que realmente importa, diz o Diretor Regional do Escritório da OMPI no Brasil

No dia 13 de Junho de 2018, em um evento organizado pela Associação Paulista de Propriedade Intelectual, O Sr. José Graça Aranha, Diretor Regional do Escritório da OMPI no Brasil (EOB), falou sobre “Patentes: Backlog, seus efeitos e a experiência internacional.”

Ao redor de 45 agentes de propriedade intelectual, representando uma ampla gama de escritórios de advocacias brasileiros, esteve presente no evento.

O Sr. José Graça Aranha falou sobre o sistema de patentes no Brasil, o PCT e as novas tendências na área de patentes. Ele também discutiu possíveis soluções para o backlog de patentes no Brasil (que actualmente é de 15 anos), incluindo a proposta do governo do Brasil para reduzir esse tempo de exame através de concessão de todos os pedidos de registro de patentes pendentes pelo procedimento sumário.

Em um debate animado, o Sr. Graça Aranha pediu aos agentes e associações de PI do país a dirigirem suas atenções a este assunto, que é de extrema importância para o desenvolvimento económico e social do país.
