Central Services Division
The Central Services Division (CSD) is committed to delivering responsive, effective, and high-quality services to WIPO sectors and employees. The division oversees various crucial functions, including:
- Maintaining a purpose-built and high-quality working environment for employees, delegates, and visitors by preserving the Headquarters’ buildings and landscape heritage in optimal technical and sustainable conditions.
- Offering support and guidance on the most suitable methods for procuring goods or services from external sources, which may include businesses or non-staff resources such as Individual Contractors or Temporary personnel services.
- Supporting Sectors in organizing meetings and facilitating travel arrangements for both staff and non-staff travelers, including managing visa procedures.
- Leading the Environmental Management System as a manifestation of WIPO’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
- Managing a range of services for WIPO and its employees, including cafeteria, cleaning, parking, office supplies, asset management, privileges and immunities, including insurance coverage for buildings and assets.
- Providing legal and IT support for the above-mentioned activities, managing contractual risk, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and maintaining agile IT systems.
