WIPO Signs Agreement with the Philippines

WIPO Director General Francis Gurry and the Director General of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHIL), Ms. Josephine Rima Santiago, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on October 10, 2017, for the establishment of a National IP Training Institution in the Philippines.
The National IP Training Institution in the Philippines will be part of WIPO’s wider network of such institutions, which are aimed at supporting WIPO’s member states in building national IP training capacity. The project will commence in 2018.
The WIPO Academy has already established five national IP training institutions and currently has ten projects in development.
