First Regional Seminar on IP and Education in Georgia

WIPO and the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia (SAKPATENTI) organized a two-day regional seminar on intellectual property (IP) education on June 20 and 21, 2018 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

98 participants from 16 countries participated in the regional seminar.

Renowned experts in the field of IP education gave interactive lectures on the available teaching methodologies in IP and innovation, and presented best practices drawn from success stories of education projects in IP. The exchange of ideas and networking were also central aspects of the seminar which were appreciated by participants, as they expressed a need for an Academy-led network for IP academies to share experiences.
