Now Open: Registration for the Academy’s Professional Development Courses

Registration for the WIPO Academy’s specialized professional development (PDP) courses for government officials is now open on the WIPO eLearning Center website. The courses are intensive, face-to-face training opportunities on specific intellectual property (IP) topics that are organized with partner institutions all over the world, in Arabic, English, French and Spanish.

The courses are offered exclusively to government officials from developing countries, least developed countries and countries in transition.

Why sign up?

Twenty-three PDP courses will be organized in 18 countries in 2020 covering topics such as:

  • Patent law and examination;
  • Designs;
  • Geographical indications;
  • Copyright and related rights;
  • Transfer of technology and licensing;
  • IP innovation policy; and
  • Management and commercialization of IP assets.

By the end of each specialized course, participants will have acquired new skills, learnt about new issues and challenges specific to their respective domains and become familiarized with best practices in the field.
