Bucerius-UC Hastings 2020 Summer Program Now Accepting Applications

The three-week Summer Program on Licensing Transactions in Intellectual Property jointly organized by Bucerius Law School, University of California Hastings College of the Law (UC Hastings) and the WIPO Academy is currently accepting applications for the 2020 edition which will take place from June 29 to July 17 in Hamburg, Germany at the Bucerius Law School campus.
What is covered in the Summer Program?
The Summer Program focuses on theoretical and practical elements of international intellectual property (IP) transactions within a global economy. Leading IP academics and practitioners will support the participants in the Program through a combination of:
- interactive seminars,
- small-group tutoring sessions,
- study visits to Airbus and Google, alongside
- a two-day negotiation workshop on how to establish terms for a license agreement in a real-life setting.
By the end of the Summer Program, participants should have gained strategy development skills for licensing IP assets across borders and addressing IP issues in an advanced digital environment.
Application information
Interested senior undergraduate students and graduate students in law-related disciplines are encouraged to apply on the Bucerius Law School website until April 15, 2020. Early bird applications, which benefit from a 15% discount, close on March 1, 2020.
Receiving academic credits for the successful completion of the summer program is possible at the discretion of the participants’ respective academic institutions.
