The WIPO Academy and its partners are organizing a number of events on the occasion of World Intellectual Property (IP) Day on April 26, 2022 that are open to the public. The theme of World IP Day this year is “IP and Youth: Innovating for a Better Future”.
The WIPO Academy intellectual property training institutions (IPTIs) are hosting 18 events for World IP Day for the youth, covering a range of topics from comics to video games. Details on all the events, including registration links, are available on the IPTI’s Events Calendar.
WIPO Joint Master’s Degree Program partner universities are planning hybrid World IP Day events as well. For example, Jagiellonian University is organizing a “Conference on Youth and the Challenges of the IP World” in English and Polish, from 3 pm CET. Students of the Master's Degree Program in IP and New Technologies jointly offered by WIPO, the Polish Patent Office and Jagiellonian University will present topics related to various aspects of IP during the conference . The University of San Andrés is organizing a panel discussion on “The Metaverse and NFTs: Challenges and Opportunities for Young Creators” in Spanish from 5.30 pm to 7 pm (GMT-3) .
