Congratulations to the Class of 2022!

The latest cohort of participants in the Joint Master’s Programs has graduated marking a new chapter for the class of 2022.

Joint LL.M. in IP with Ankara University and the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office

The sixth graduation ceremony of the Master’s of Laws in Intellectual Property (LL.M. in IP) with a Specialization in Patent Law and Design Law, offered jointly by the WIPO Academy, the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office and Ankara University in Ankara, Turkey was held virtually on June 23, 2022. Twenty-four graduates from 10 countries participated in the ceremony which included an IP conference on the scope of protection and limitations in the field of design law. Opening remarks were given by Dr. Selin Özden Merhacı, Vice-Director of Intellectual and Industrial Rights Research and Application Center at Ankara University, Ms. Martha Chikowore, Counsellor of the Academic Institutions Program at the WIPO Academy, and Mr. Cemil Başpınar, Acting President of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.

Joint Master’s in IP with Tongji University

The fifth graduation ceremony of the Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property (MIP) with a Specialization in Design offered jointly by the WIPO Academy and Tongji University in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China was held in hybrid format on July 7, 2022. Twenty-nine graduates from six countries participated in the ceremony both in-person and remotely.

Opening remarks were given by Mr. Guangqing Bai, Director-General of International Cooperation Department of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), Mr. Joe Bradley, Head of the Academic Institutions Program at the WIPO Academy, Ms. Lijuan Mao, Deputy Director General of Shanghai Education Commission, Mr. Chen Yu, Deputy Director General of Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration, and Mr. Peiming Lv, Vice President of Tongji University.

As you all successfully complete the joint MIP program, we welcome you to the WIPO Academy alumni.
