In November 2022, WIPO signed an agreement with IE University and IE Foundation, based in Spain, to offer a degree specialization in Intellectual Property and Technology Law as part of IE University’s Master’s of Laws program (LL.M.).
The LL.M. is a ten-month long, in-person program taught in Madrid, Spain at IE University. Students will have the unique opportunity to learn from IE and WIPO experts on cross-cutting issues in IP and technology. The first edition of the joint LL.M. in IP and Technology Law will run from September 2023 to July 2024 and registration is now open on the WIPO eLearning Center.

The LL.M. in IP and Technology Law consists of face-to-face lectures at IE University, in addition to practical skills development workshops and hands-on projects with companies, and finally the submission of a research or capstone project. Our agreement with WIPO will allow us to train lawyers specialized in Intellectual Property and Digital Law, with an innovative and entrepreneurial vision of how this area of law contributes to the development of the digital society and their legal protection in the future.
