Registration Open: Advanced International Certificate Course (AICC)

For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual Advanced International Certificate Course (AICC) on Intellectual Property Asset Management for Business Success will be taking place in-person in the Republic of Korea from November 6 to 9, 2023.

Registration for the AICC is now open until May 7, 2023 for candidates interested in upskilling their intellectual property (IP) management abilities.

The career-building course is offered free-of-charge to selected applicants, and is jointly organized by the WIPO Academy, the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), the Korean Invention promotion Association (KIPA), and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). The AICC is offered with the support of the Republic of Korea Funds-in-Trust for IP Education.

What is the AICC?

The AICC consists of interactive lectures and exercises on global IP management strategies from renowned IP experts. The course consists of three phases:

  • Phase 1: online courses including both the new and improved IP Panorama 2.0 and a special session of the WIPO Advanced Distance Learning Course on IP Management (DL-450). Participants will learn more about IP issues from a business perspective during the IP Panorama 2.0, and after successfully completing the course, they will receive an AICC certificate enabling them to progress to the special edition of the DL-450 course;
  • Phase 2: the DL-450 final exam paper, and an IP essay outlining the candidate’s motivation to study IP and how it relates to their current or future entrepreneurial plans (due by July 29, 2023); and
  • Phase 3: an in-person seminar, which will be held from November 6 to 9, 2023 in the Republic of Korea, where participants can build their IP knowledge and skills for business success.
