First Masterclass on IP, Valuation and Finance

WIPO Academy and the Presidential Council on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Korea will be offering the first Masterclass on Intellectual Property, Valuation and Finance from December 11 to 14, 2023.  Registration for the four-day masterclass is now open on the WIPO eLearning Center until December 1, 2023.

The masterclass is limited to 100 participants, who will be selected by the administration based on their qualifications, with a consideration to ensuring a balanced geographical representation.

Why sign up?

The interactive online masterclass uses practical insights and real-world case studies to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to leverage intellectual property (IP) as a valuable asset for financing, investment, and business growth. The content is catered to professionals and decision-makers looking to enhance their understanding of IP-backed financing, particularly:

  • government officials from ministries related to economic affairs, industry or finance;
  • IP office staff;
  • IP practitioners;
  • professionals from finance institutions;
  • SMEs; and
  • IP teachers.

Participants must have an advanced proficiency in written and spoken English, and are required to complete the Primer on IP (DL-001) and four learning videos on IP for start-ups and scale-ups as part of the masterclass.  

Upon successfully completing the four-day masterclass, participants will be awarded a joint certificate from WIPO and the Presidential Council on IP of the Republic of Korea. Please contact the program administrator if you have any enquiries.
