The Judicial Training, Research and Information Institute of Mongolia (JTRII) launched the Mongolian edition of the WIPO Academy’s Distance Learning Course on Intellectual Property for Judges on May 6, 2024. The course is offered in Mongolian and English, and 146 Mongolian judges have enrolled for the first edition.
The course is tutored by a WIPO Academy trained national intellectual property (IP) expert who will guide the judges throughout and offer confidential one-on-one exchanges so that their learning can go beyond the theoretical application of law to real-life cases.
The WIPO Academy Distance Learning Course on IP for Judges was created by judges for judges to foster IP knowledge and skills among those involved in adjudicating IP disputes. The JTRII and the WIPO Academy are also working hand-in-hand to develop a customized version of the course which refers to Mongolian legislation and cases.
Those from the Mongolian judiciary interested in registering for future editions of the new course can apply on the JTRII eLearning Platform or contact the course administration.
