Curriculum Vitae Ms. Lisa Rosenthal
Lisa Rosenthal is the Federal Trade Commissions Legal Advisor for International Consumer Protection. She coordinates the agencys international consumer protection program, which includes global e-commerce policy, information sharing and cooperation with foreign law enforcement, and litigation support for international law enforcement actions. Ms. Rosenthal was the principal author of the Bureau of Consumer Protections September 2000 report, Consumer Protection in the Global Electronic Marketplace: Looking Ahead. She also coordinated the U.S. Governments participation in developing the 1999 OECD Guidelines for Consumer Protection in the Context of Electronic Commerce.
Ms. Rosenthal has been an attorney at the Federal Trade Commission, Bureau of Consumer Protection since 1995. Before assuming the international position, Ms. Rosenthals work at the Commission involved consumer privacy, investment fraud, cross-border fraud, and credit-related fraud. She earned her law degree from UCLA School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Berkeley.
