Jon LANG is one of the most experienced mediators in the UK. CEDR accredited, Jon became a full-time mediator in May 2005, having spent almost twenty years as a solicitor in private practice, the last six as a partner in the disputes group of White & Case in London.

Jon has acted as an expert in mediation and is a panel member of the Court of Appeal mediation scheme. He is the immediate past Chair of the Mediation Committee of the International Bar Association, a former Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association’s International Mediation Committee and a member of CPR’s Panel of Distinguished Neutrals. Jon is also the author of the book, 'A Practical Guide to Mediation in Intellectual Property, Technology & Related Disputes’ published by Sweet & Maxwell in 2006. Through his consulting practice, Jon acts as mediation counsel, providing advice and assistance to parties preparing for and participating in negotiation and mediation, and also designs and delivers related training programs many in conjunction with the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center.

Listed in the first tier of mediator rankings of both the Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 directories (and in The International Who’s Who of commercial mediators), Jon is recognized as one of the top mediators in the UK.

Amanda BUCKLOW is one of a handful of career mediators practicing in the UK. She has maintained a full-time mediation practice for over 17 years and has notable experience working with high profile personalities and sophisticated commercial parties. She is also the first mediation Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is currently their exclusive provider of commercial mediation training in the UK and internationally.

Before developing her mediation practice, Amanda spent 14 years in business negotiating contracts and building collaboration and partnership agreements internationally: mediation was a natural progression and became the name for her business approach.

She enjoys consistently positive feedback in both of the main independent legal directories, Legal 500and Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession and is highly regarded for her effective commercial style, people skills and professionalism.

In addition to her mediation and training business she is an elected board member of the Civil Mediation Council (UK), a member of the International Bar Association, a founder member of the International Positive Psychology Association, a board member of the International Academy of Mediators (US) and author of the first research project into the skills, attributes, behaviors and strengths of effective commercial mediators (2006).
