NEW updated .MX rules for Mexico (effective as of March 4, 2019) where the requirement to send hard copies by the parties is removed, turning into a 100% electronic proceeding.
Since 2001, the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center (the "WIPO Center") has collaborated with Registry .MX as a provider of dispute resolution services for domain names registered under .MX, managing more than 380 proceedings that involved more than 500 domain names.
Thus, as a result of the experience and collaboration between Registry .MX and the WIPO Center, the Reglamento and the Reglamento Adicional de la OMPI for .MX have been modified, updating them so that the procedure does not require the parties to send hard copies of their pleadings and annexes. This update results on a greater efficiency in the procedures, therefore reducing the costs for the parties as well as the environmental impact.
