Comments in Response to the Secretariat's Questionnaire on the Protection of Country Names in the Domain Name System

The State Agency of Science and Intellectual Property under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyzpatent) presents its compliments and has the honor to transmit the answers for the questionnaire according to the document SCT/S1/6, that sent by the letter No.C.6635/DIPL-09.2:

1. The name of the country should be identified according to the standart of ISO 3166, for example "kg".
2. The country names should be protected in English.
3. The protection should be extended to all exicting domains.
4. We have no practice concerning this issues.
5. To implement protection it should be used the mechanism of the UDRP.
6. The protection should extend to the exact country name, for example "kg".
7. The issue have been studied.
