Online courses in IP were held by Japan’s Osaka Institute of Technology (OIT) from September 28 to December 14, 2021.
Fourteen participants from Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Viet Nam participated in these online training courses supported by the Funds-In-Trust (FIT) Japan IP Global.
The series of online courses provided knowledge and training in the area of IP, licensing, and industry engagement to several participants from the Enabling Innovation Environment (EIE) Project.
These online courses covered various aspects of IP law and practice, and informed about the international and Japanese context of numerous key areas that included: IP strategies, IP marketing, IP assessments, IP licensing, and Industry-academia collaboration using IP. It is anticipated that the participants will take the knowledge and experiences they have learned from these online courses to their home institutions and share their learnings with colleagues in the field of IP-based technology transfer.
