Inter-regional Expert Meeting in Peru

On May 5 and 6, 2015, an inter-regional meeting will be held in Lima, Peru, on the topic of “South-South and Triangular Cooperation for Access to Information and Knowledge, Innovation Support, and Technology Transfer”.
The meeting is open to: IP policymakers; IP government officials and experts; professionals in technology transfer offices, technology and innovation support centers, universities, and research and development (R&D) institutions from developing countries, LDCs and other interested member states; as well as to representatives from regional and international governmental and non-governmental organizations working in the relevant areas.
Organized in the framework of the WIPO Development Agenda Project on Enhancing South-South Cooperation on Intellectual Property and Development among Developing and Least Developed Countries (LDCs), the meeting’s objectives are:
- To provide a space for industrial property experts from developing countries and LDCs to share their knowledge and experiences.
- To provide an environment for participating countries to showcase successful South-South and triangular cooperation initiatives. In order to raise the visibility of these initiatives, information about each partnership will subsequently be added to the WIPO South-South web platform.
The meeting will take place in English and Spanish, with simultaneous interpretation into each language.
