The Protection of Theater (Stage) Directors’ Rights has been discussed under the agenda item “Other Matters” since the 35th session of the Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR) in 2017. Research done for the Committee indicates a range of ways in which stage directors’ rights are handled in various Member States.
The Secretariat arranged a study on the rights of stage directors of theatrical productions. Short discussions of this study were presented in video format to Members and Observers during various sessions of the SCCR.
