Notifications

The National Institute of Industrial Property of Argentina (INPI) notified the International Bureau that in accordance with paragraphs 10 and 12 of the Framework Provisions, it will extend the scope of its functions as an accessing Office for WIPO DAS, as of September 1, 2023 and as a WIPO DAS Depositing Office, as of November 1, 2023, for Trademark Priority Documents as well as Industrial Designs and Models.

The National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) of Argentina notified the International Bureau in accordance with paragraphs 10 and 12 of the Framework Provisions that it would commence operation as an accessing office with effect from October 1, 2019 and as a depositing office from March 2, 2020.

Following consultation with the International Bureau, the scope of the Office's participating digital library is as follows:

  • Depositing Office: all national and international patent applications filed at the Office from March 2nd 2020 which the applicant specifically requests to be made available to the service;
  • Accessing office: the Office will recognize priority documents available to it through the service for the purposes of any application for which the time for submitting the priority document has not expired, 12 months from the first regular deposit.

Technical arrangements

  • All documents and information will be exchanged in black and white and in PDF format over PCT EDI as priority documents by using the DAS Office web portal;
  • As an Accessing Office, the Office will accept black and white documents in PDF

Practical information

Before October 1st, a document will be prepared with practical information for the applicants, in order to inform how to request the INPI, as accessing Office, to recover a document from the service.

The INPI’s national applications hosted in the library will have the following formats: Patent: AR PYYYY01NNNNN​ and Utility Model: AR MYYYY01NNNNN​.
