WIPO – in collaboration with Invent Together – is organizing a series of online seminars with intellectual property (IP) offices and innovation stakeholders on the IP gender gap in the European region, on May 31 - June 1, 2022
These virtual seminar series on the IP gender gap brings together stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem, with the goal to raise awareness, evaluate it quantitatively and qualitatively, and discuss policies and other actions that show promise in addressing it.
The first set of seminars in the series focused on the Americas region, and took place on October 13-14, 2021. See the recordings of the first and second panels on the Americas region.
This first panel will bring together policymakers from the European region to discuss the importance of designing policies to address the IP gender gap, and engaging women’s participation in the innovation ecosystem.

This second panel will highlight approaches and methodologies employed by the Chief Economists’ departments across the IP Offices, including from Europe and the United Kingdom – discuss the challenges in measuring and analyzing the IP gender gap.
