This Survey covers numbering systems for patents for inventions, plant patents, design patents, utility models, supplementary protection certificates (SPCs), industrial designs, topographies of integrated circuits and trademarks, mainly since 1970.
The Survey consists of one table, which gives examples of publication and registration numbers, including explanations of their form or presentation.
References to the following Standards are relevant to this Survey:
It should be noted that the Benelux Trademark and Designs Offices have replaced the national Offices of Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands for industrial designs and trademarks.
